 twenty-four today. it's 09.09.09. i've been told this is a very lucky day. maybe i should have bought a lottery ticket and see where my birthday luck could have taken me or not taken me. i had a small celebration with little company, but it was nice. there was cake too, and that to me is the most essential for birthdays.

thank you to everyone for the warm wishes. i wasn't looking forward to turning 24, but today has actually made my near quarter-life age a lot more bearable.
