previous next Wednesday, Mar. 18, 2009 -- 11:30 a.m. this was meant to be posted last january in 2008, and i stumbled upon it when i was digging through my old files. anyway, so here it is: --- currently listening to: "hold onto me, baby" - air france i'm listening to music that makes me daydream of white sand beaches, warm sunshine, and tropical drinks. it's so ugly outside--wait no, it's actually been ugly everyday and i wish i was somewhere else. i start my conversational mandarin class about 45 minutes. i don't know what to expect out of it, except for more embarassingly bad foreign language skills. i'm still excited though since it's all supposed to be conversation, and nothing regarding reading or writing. nevermind taking chinese school for 3 years because that didn't do anything for me. all i can say in mandarin right now is "i am the teacher," and i don't think it'd be a wise choice to reveal that fact in class today. --- perhaps, tomorrow i'll write an entry in the present. but for now, i'd like to revel in the better days of when i didn't have to worry about grown up things. and i still can't say much in mandarin other than "i am the teacher."
